North Gwinnett Lady Dawgs take 3rd at Big Orange Relays behind total team effort

With wins in the pole vault relay, shot put relay, and discus relay...the girls came out firing early and didn't let up all day! Boys finish 6th behind strong performances in the jumps!

The girls came out of the gate on fire with wins in the pole vault relay, shot put relay, and discus relay and that was just the beginning!  Kelsey Worthington led the way with a 12'1" vault to tie her school record in a loaded field that featured 4 vaulters over 12 feet.  Sydney Ross and Grace Forren added to the formidable North line up that brought home gold.  In the throws, Kayla Brown took home top honors in the girls shot put to lead the way while Angelina Chovanic and Sheila Lorusso both finished in the top 16 to lead North to a big win in the shot put.  In the discus, Kayla led the way once again joined by Sheila and freshman Meah Veraart to take top honors in the discus relay.  Maisonne Jones led the high jump relay team to a 3rd place finish while also joining the 100 shuttle hurdle relay team that placed 7th.  3rd place was secured with the 4x400 team placing 7th to gain a valuable 2 points that put the trophy in the trophy case!  Nice work ladies!
